Alan Hamel, Executive Director of the Board of Water Works, started working for the Board as a part-time summer worker while still in high school. He began full-time employment in 1962 as a pump station operator. He held various management positions beginning in 1969 until earning the post of Executive Director in 1982. He has served in that position continuously to the present.
Alan has served on a host of industry and community boards (chairing many of them), including:
